Piningo 1.3 has now been submitted to Apple for review.
This update focuses on making saved pins more useful after capture, both when you want to go somewhere and when you want to share a place with someone else.
Version 1.3 includes:
- directions to any saved pin using Apple Maps, with Transit handoff when available
- native pin sharing and import between Piningo users
- a clearer pin creation and editing flow with the
Whatfield brought to the top - cleaner pin detail and edit popovers, with address and category information easier to scan
Release notes for 1.3:
- Get directions to any saved pin using Apple Maps, with Transit handoff when available
- Share pins with other Piningo users and import shared pins directly into the app
- Make pin names and context more prominent with the new
Whatfield placement - Cleaner pin detail and edit popovers, with address and category information easier to scan
Piningo continues to be a private personal map. There are still no app-owned accounts, no public feeds, and no app-owned backend. Your places remain yours.
The review process is now underway, and another update will land here once version 1.3 is live.
